I do the movie poster because movie poster is one of the things that part of documentary movie it self. I do the Secondhand smoke topic because our earth, the air have been stain by secondhand smoke and its will be huge problem in now and future.
First step that we do on movie poster was found the creative commons picture that related or match with our topic. The picture may be the picture that we want people mood after watch our movie, We find these picture on Flickr. This is one of part that I like to do during this assessment to find picture. My topic is about secondhand smoke impact children. This topic might people this simple and easy but the effects really impacting the children health. I choose this picture because the mood that I want people feel same thing what the children feel. Uncomfortable, disgusting and smell awful. This part is the easiest part of this unit project because flikr have good picture and its also CC production so, we can get the picture without worry with the owner allow you to use they picture or not. The picture that I use for the movie poster was the man who smoke with lot of smoke from the cigaret. I choose this picture because this is! this where the passive smoke spreading out to air and stain our fresh air become disgusting air.
Next step was we uploaded the picture that we find in flickr to Big Huge labs web. This web make us easier to know about how it looks like the poster it will when we fill up the details data about the topic. The title that I choose is "Passive Midnight" because usually the passive smoke percentage will grow in midnight rather than in afternoon. I have a hard time to think the good title for my topic but it getting easy when I saw my surrounding at the class. Tag lines was the important things in movie poster to make people curious, interest or want to watch our movie. This movie for whole parent in indonesia who smoke and non-smoke. This part of process is my favorite part of movie because I always wonder what will happened when I do this. Tagline on movie it show what will happend and the answer of the first tag line, so there is tag line two and tag line 1. My first Tagline on this poster was "Innocent Kids Die" and second tag line was " Your Smoke as Approaching". I choose the first tag line about " Innocent Kids Die" because of children that continuing the sickness from secondhand smoke can be die and second tag line that " Your Smoke As Approaching" its because the smoke comes from people surrounding child and usually its from parent or older man.
This all assignment is related to Emotive Language to create our movie more scary, disgusting and sad story of movie so people hopefully to be act and help our earth in danger with passive smoke. This part maybe the frustrated because the emotive language that we use should be interesting that can encourage people to acts. We still have hope even the little percent of people to stop smoke. So, the emotive language is the hard one for me because to find good word not just easy copy and paste.
I think language is one of the way to influence people. I think language can make people think and act. Language is a word that we use in every single of day , second , hour and anywhere. We use language to communicate. So, within only say 3 words people will know what our inpirate and what our purpose to do the language project. I think its a good way to start from middle school to our next generation future.
I learn lot from this knowledge, maybe this information will not useful in our ages right now but for sure that when we grow up become a good creature, it will useful. There is no knowledge that never to be no useful. The important skill that I learn from this topic was find picture and help improve my writing skill on paragraph. This unit help me learn about myself because I know that there is secondhand smoke causes influence that children not notice about it, even in their surrounding. We don't know where secondhand smoke started but we know where it ends by doing this.
The question that I still need to know is will the parent act and care more about the children health? it is useful to let parent know/people surrounding.? to be help me learn better I wish I would have more cooperate with english speaking on class. To help me learn better, i think Mr. Raisdana have enough to help me better so, just do as usually.
I like this unit because I can play around with this poster, I think this unit was great to add more my knowledge about director, editor and movie maker.
